High Court ruling on Government’s air transport consultation

“We are delighted with the result and that common sense has prevailed. It is, of course, the first round in a fight for justice for tens of thousands of private citizens and to save some of the most beautiful countryside against wholesale desecration by outdated proposals.

We sincerely hope the Secretary of State, Mr Alistair Darling, will turn his attention to the pressing importance of this and consider alternatives, for example the construction of a modern ‘state of the art’ offshore airport such as those already in operation in a number of other countries including Singapore, Hong Kong and South Korea.”
