IT'S A DATE! 2018 COMMUNITY CALENDARS GO ON SALE

at the Countess of Warwick Show - 29 August 2017

Georgie Thake from Quendon (pictured above right) was the first of many to snap up a copy of the 2018 Community Calendar from Stop Stansted Expansion's (SSE) calendar team leader Ray Woodcock at the Countess of Warwick Country Show in Little Easton over the bank holiday weekend (27-28 August).

Georgie's family boasts a 500-year connection with local landscape and heritage through work on the land through the generations, while she herself has carried on the tradition through her work as a gardener.

Hot off the press, the 2018 calendar is the sixteenth in the series and once again features many stunning locations in the shadow of Stansted Airport's operations which are threatened by expansion plans. It makes an important contribution to SSE's fundraising efforts, as well as raising and maintaining awareness of the special quality of the region.

The A3 format calendar is priced at just 7 and will be available from mid-September in fourteen outlets across Uttlesford and East Hertfordshire, as well as from SSE's volunteer sales team. In the meantime, mail order and gift copies (including for overseas addresses), as well as in-person collection, can be arranged by contacting SSE at info@stopstanstedexpansion.com or on 01279 870558.

Commenting on the launch of the latest edition of the calendar, SSE Chairman Peter Sanders said: "The 2018 calendar maintains the high standard which the community has come to expect from Ray Woodcock and his team. We are sincerely grateful to all the local photographers who have contributed their pictures to make this latest calendar such a work of art and daily reminder of the areas affected by Stansted expansion plans, as well as to our dedicated calendar sellers."
